Huajuhong is the dried outer peel of specified pummelo sources. Chen Pi generally refers to the dried mature peel of Citrus reticulata and its cultivars. The species and harvested plant parts differ.
Different purchasing questions
For Huajuhong, clarify tomentose or other declared pummelo source, exocarp and processing form. For Chen Pi, clarify mandarin cultivar, peel maturity, origin and aging or storage claims.
Why the distinction matters
Substituting one material for another can create labeling, quality, customs and customer expectation problems. Use exact botanical and pharmaceutical names in RFQs and supporting documents.
